(More customer reviews)I got these olives as a Christmas gift and I have to admit I was apprehensive before I popped the first one in my mouth. It was definitely hot, but not as fire-breathing, brow-sweating hot as I had anticipated. More importantly, the FLAVOR was incredible! I've had habanero peppers in different foods, and they usually overpower whatever it is they are in. That was NOT the case with these olives. It was as if the olive enhanced the good flavorful qualities of the pepper and tamed the overpowering qualities. Who knew it would take an olive to bring out the best of a habanero? As someone who likes spicy foods where the heat enhances the flavor rather than ruins it, these were an excellent treat for me.
